What is the Off Cut Drop?
At Custom No.9 we're extremely conscious about our wastage, always aiming to reduce, reuse and minimize.
We've been playing around with our surplus materials from making your beautiful furniture for months, hand making lots of unique pieces. We've now made to many to decide on to be honest. So we're going to make them all. But not at once.
Each month, on the 9th (go figure), we will launch a new product made from leftover material from the month before. Home decor to tech, you name it. It's coming.
But each piece will vary in character, and will be limited edition. Because we don't mass produce. We customise bespoke things. Stuff with stories.
Who are Beb W'Shebbek?
Founded by Lebanese powerhouses Mariana Wehbe and Nancy Gabriel, Beb w’shebbek is an initiative committed to rebuilding the doors & windows of the homes that were destroyed due to Lebanon’s explosion on the 4th of August. Their goal is to fix 150 homes each month until they reach their 3,000 homes objective.
Rallying the skills and resources of their design industry friends, contacts and volunteers, the duo are working tirelessly to not only build back the buildings but also to make sure that their work respects the heritage and history of building. This is, ultimately, a drive to rebuild people’s lives and restore Beirut’s glory.
